Public and Private Schools
Tehama County has
eighteen (18) school districts comprised of thirty-one (31) schools plus
Sacred Heart Grade School and
Mercy High School. All eighteen school districts plus the County Department of Education have a unique county wide program that establishes standards and grade level benchmarks. Tehama County is the only county to have developed this world-class program. Tehama County schools are safe and offer an environment that encourages learning. The schools, recognized state-wide for their innovations, work closely with other agencies to provide services for children and families.
Shasta College
Shasta College is a comprehensive community college that offers a range of programs and classes to serve the district. The
Tehama County Center located in Red Bluff offers a range of programs, both university transfer professional/technical programs to serve Tehama County. The college also offers classes for life-long learning and customized training programs for business and industry.
